Autumn on the round island where the city of eternal spring is located is, for me, one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. The days are shorter, but the light is gorgeous. At sunset, Mount Teide begins to appear from Las Canteras beach, especially from the area closest to Soppa. The neighboring island is clearly visible, and the sun sets right behind the great volcano, the father of all the Canary Islands. It’s a spectacle for both body and soul. As those of us who work in Soppa are sensitive to beauty, this spectacle overwhelms and delights us. The office begins to fill up; many people come from the cold and return to this second home that is Soppa de Azul. The gallery continues with the Alecs NavĂo exhibition, and we continue with the theater courses on Saturdays, the crafts classes on Tuesday afternoons, and the painting and drawing sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. We also have drawing sessions with a live model twice a month.

Our meeting rooms and gallery space are available for corporate events, and we’ll be hosting a Christmas market featuring artwork by artists from Soppa.

In short, we love autumn in Gran Canaria.
