Next Thursday, July 3rd, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a presentation of the LPGC report as a pensioned area, that is, an area suffering from rising housing prices due to tourist rentals, sales by foreigners with greater purchasing power, and the massive purchase of buildings by large investors. This makes renting and buying homes impossible for residents, young people, etc., who have to move to other municipalities or stay with their parents or relatives. There are also families who have lost their jobs and, due to their age, are unable to find a new one. We are at a time when a normal salary is not enough to rent a home and eat, so this is becoming a major problem of real need.
The presentation of the report will be led by Gema Martinez, Councilor for the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council.
